Pharmacogenomics
Pharmacogenomics studies thegenetic variability associated with the variability in drug responseand side effects. It involves the study of a high number of genes or the entire genome. Also it is focused to identify genotypes associated with these phenotypes to develop genetic tests which predict the response of a patient to a drug, such as insufficient or excessive effect.
