Pharmacogenetics is the scientific discipline that examines the influence of genetic determinants on the response (efficacy and toxicity) of drugs applicable in each person. Its purpose is to help in selecting most effective and safe medication and dosage, for every patient based on their genotype. It means itperforms a personalized therapy according to each person genes.
