26 de January de 2021

Bioinformatics is a field that combines biology, mathematics, statistics and informatics for the processing, organization and analysis of large amounts of biological information. The growing use of robotics laboratories and microarrays has allowed experiments to generate massive amounts of information. Bioinformatics creates programs and algorithms capable of identifying features or matches in a volume of data that would be difficult with conventional mathematical methods.
